Tatiana Tooley, candidate for State Representative of the newly formed Allentown 22nd District, (
Election day Tuesday May 20th 2014) will host
State Representative Jake Wheatley of Pittsburgh on
Tuesday April 29th at 6:30pm at the Cigar Factory at 707 N 4th St. The event is open to the public.
State Representative Wheatley will address a crowd of Democratic supporters to speak on behalf of Ms. Tooley.
State Representatives Wheatley was first elected in 2002 to Pittsburgh’s 19th Legislative District. A prominent member of the Democratic Caucus, Representative Wheatley has pushed forward legislation to improve Pennsylvania’s mass transit, economic development, and true education funding and academic advancements for all children as well as providing leadership on covering every Pennsylvanian with quality, affordable and error-free health care.
With the endorsement of State Representative Wheatley,
Tatiana Tooley has now secured the endorsement of three members of the
PA Black Legislative Caucus. The other members being State Representative
Stephen Kinsey and State Representative
Margo Davison. Tatiana Tooley has also received the endorsement of
PA NOW, the
Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Organization for Women. If elected, Ms. Tooley will set an historic precedent by becoming the first ever Latina to serve as State Representative.
