SHELL SHOCKED Friday July 28th 7:15pm

Fourth Friday Fillms at UUCLV presents SHELL SHOCKED.

SHELL SHOCKED is a documentary about violence in New Orleans. With one of the highest per capita murder rates in the US, and with more shootings per capita that Chicago in 2016, what happens in this city has profound implications for the issues of violence and crime. This award-winning film focuses on young New Orleanians’ depressing adaptation to rampant gun violence and suggests the possibilities that mentoring and advocacy programs can have on more positive outcomes to conflict.

Film screening will be followed by a discussion led by Fritz Walker, board member of CeaseFirePA.

FREE and open to all. See the movie trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBePnhrg5DE.
