Heeding Cheyney’s Call held a rally outside of Gov. Tom Wolf’s Philadelphia headquarters today to demand the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education fix the historic, all Black institution.

“We’re pleased with what the governor has done so far, but the governor’s support early on was him seeing smoke at Cheyney,” said attorney Michael Coard of Heeding Cheyney’s Call and a 1982 alumnus of the school. “Now it’s house is on fire with flames engulfing.
