How to Run for Local Office Workshop, Northampton Community College, Kiva building, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Thinking of running for local office in next year's municipal elections? This workshop will help you get your campaign off and running.

Pennsylvania has a municipal election every odd-numbered year. That's when we elect people to represent our interests in our home municipalities, on our school boards, in our counties. To help you decide if this is what you want to do, The LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS-LEHIGH VALLEY is offering an invaluable workshop for local candidates on November 20th at NCC, How to Run for Local Office .

The comprehensive workbook that is given to all who attend will be available after the workshop for the same price as the full workshop.

Registration form for the 2010

Please note that the deadline to register is November 12.

There will be experienced campaigners discussing successful techniques, and county elections officials will explain the often-confusing paperwork and answer your questions.

If you haven't decided if you are going to throw your hat in the ring next year, the workshop may help you make up your mind. Potential candidates, campaign treasurers, and committee members will all benefit from the experience and knowledge of the panelists and speakers at the workshop. Spread the word!
