NAACP 69th Annual Freedom Fund and Awards Banquet Saturday July 30, 2011

The Allentown Branch of the NAACP will be having its 69th Annual Freedom Fund and Awards Banquet on Saturday July 30, 2011, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn located at 9th and Hamilton Streets in center city Allentown.

Attorney Lacy R. Wheeler (Center) 

Our keynote speaker will be Attorney Lacy R. Wheeler  who is currently Vice-President of the Pennsylvania State Conference of NAACP Branches. Attorney Wheeler, in addition to handling civil rights issues, is a strong advocate of increasing state funding to ensure that the public school educational experience provides an outcome that allows all of our youth the opportunity to be successful in life.

As always, the Allentown NAACP’s officers and its members have been responding to numerous complaints covering the areas of education, employment, housing and due process.

Volunteers run the organization and the annual Freedom Fund banquet is our primary fund raising effort. All funds raised will go toward financing the banquet and NAACP operations. Individual tickets can be purchased for a donation of $45.00 each.

Each ticket includes a buffet dinner. Tickets will not be available at the door.
