Oliver Mtukudzi And The Black Spirits 07/18/2013 @ ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks

Because of the extreme heat (101 heat index) tonight’s Levitt show Oliver Mtukudzi and the Black Spirits has been moved to the Musikfest Café. Doors open at 6 PM, show starts at 7 PM.
Perform their own form of “Tuku” music which evolved from traditional  Zimbabwean music.

Oliver Mtukudzi and the Black Spirits 

Since 1975 Oliver Mtukudzi and his band, the Black Spirits, have been performing their own form of "Tuku" music which evolved from traditional Zimbabwean music. Many of their songs sing against violence and hatred and for peace among the peoples of the world, causes that are central to the band members' lives. The group has toured and received international acclaim and awards.
