Ce-Ce Gerlach, seeking her second term on the Allentown School Board, didn't receive the support of Mayor Ed Pawlowski and Democratic state Reps. Peter Schweyer and Mike Schlossberg when they formed a political action committee, Citizens for a Better Allentown.
But it turns out she didn't need them. Gerlach, who campaigned possibly more than any other candidate and cross-filed, was the front-runner in Tuesday's primary election with 53 of 55 precincts reporting, receiving the most votes on both the Democratic and Republican tickets.
