Imhotep Charter Football Team

The list begins with the 6-foot-5, 337-pound offensive lineman, the four-star recruit who holds 20 Division I offers, including ones from Auburn, Michigan, Oklahoma, UCLA, Virginia Tech and Wisconsin.

Then there’s the 6-foot-3, 193-pound defensive end/linebacker who is verbally committed to Penn State.

Not to be outdone is the 6-foot-2, 238-pound tight end, another four-star recruit bound for Florida State. The 5-foot-9 running, 170-pound running back is headed to Arizona. That’s only getting started - this team alone is keeping the folks at Rivals.com busy.

There’s the 6-foot-5, 272-pound offensive lineman with offers including Illinois and Temple, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound defensive end deciding between schools like Army, Duke and Pittsburgh, the 6-foot-6, 338-pound offensive lineman being courted by Arizona State, Rutgers, Texas Tech and North Carolina (just to name a few), the 6-foot-7, 342-pound offensive lineman with an offer from Texas Tech – he’s only a sophomore – and a 5-foot-10, 180-pound safety, another sophomore, already with offers from Temple and Wisconsin.

They’re all part of the Imhotep Charter football team that will come into Bethlehem Area School District Stadium Friday night to take on Saucon Valley in the PIAA Class AAA semifinals.

The Panthers of Hellertown have heard plenty about the Panthers from Philadelphia, the No. 1 ranked Class AAA team in the state by PennLive and the No. 21 ranked team in the country by USA Today. Read more here:
