The Pan African Caucus and Student Life organizations of the Northampton Community College, 3835 Green Pond Road is pleased to announce its Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., commemorative program, “Celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King , Jr. and Non-Violent Social Change”.
The keynote speaker is the Reverend Dr. Calvin O. Butts, III, President of The State University of New York at Old Westbury and Pastor of the nationally renowned Abyssinian Baptist Church in the City of New York. Dr. Butts is founded in faith and a true believer in education. At his core, he is a preacher, teacher, and champion for justice and equality for all people. Being a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. scholar, Dr. Butts is the best person to present (or speak to) our program theme: Celebrating Non-Violent Social Change.
The program is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm in the Lipkin Theater on the Northampton Community College main campus, 3835 Green Pond Road in Bethlehem, PA. The event is free and open to the public.
