BAKUYE (UNITY): An Exhibit of Paintings by Yodi at Renee's Bakery Tonight 7:00pm

Yodi will be exhibiting a new series of artwork he calls “Bakuye” which means unity in the Ashanti tribal language. In this body of work he unites his abstract impressionist stlye with adinkra print symbols. He has been painting in this style for years.

Adinkra are visuall symbols, originally created by the Akan of Ghana and the Gyaman of Cote d’Ivoire in West Africa, that represent concepts or aphorisms. 

The exhibit will be at Renee's Bakery, Allentown Commons 1320 Hanover Avenue an eat-in/take out facility. Friday May 18th,  7pm-9pm.

Yodi's work will kick off the rotating art exhibit at the Bakery. Future exhibits will be curated by him and will include many new and upcoming artist and art groups. For more information contact Yodi on facebook or Renee's Bakery at 610-7701537/610-770-1539.
