Nigerian International Association of Pennsylvania will host its 2013 celebration and banquet on Saturday October 26 from 5:00PM – 8:40PM

The Nigerian International Association of  Pennsylvania (NIAPA) will host its 2013 celebration and banquet on Saturday October 26 from 5:00PM – 8:40PM at the Charter’s Banquet Facility of Plainfield Township 6480 Sullivan Trail Wind Gap Pa. 18091. The event will feature Ibiyinka Alao (www.ibiyinka.com), the first place winner of the prestigious United Nations International Art Competition whose paintings have been featured at the Harvard Business School, Indianapolis Art Center, African Unity Festival, Martin Luther King Art Center, Nigerian Consulate and the Nigerian Embassy.

Also featured will be Laolu Senbanjo (www.laolusenbanjo.com) a human rights lawyer, who has widely exhibited in prestigious events in Nigeria, The Korean Embassy and Europe and Joseph Kwaw Besoabewie (www.artmajeur.com/besoabewie) who has exhibited extensively with the United Nations and his home country Accra Ghana. As part of a series of annual events by NIAPA, the event celebrates Nigeria and Africa by bringing together a vibrant group of Africans, Americans and Diaspora to mark Nigeria’s 53rd independence anniversary while looking forward to the days beyond.

The event themed – Economic Development and Governance: The Intersection of Africa and its Diaspora – will feature international and national speakers including federal and state levels followed by a celebration of culture with festive food, stimulating art and entertainment.
